Critterdex named the wrong animal

Tap Wrong animal? Re-check on the reveal to ask the backup model. When Critterdex shows alternatives, you can choose a better match. The app sends a small incorrect-result signal so we can compare model quality, but it does not upload the photo again as feedback.

The animal I found isn't in the book

Animals outside the built-in catalogue still get identified and added as a discovery card, so nothing is lost. The catalogue grows with each update.

I had no internet when I took the photo

Nothing is lost. Photos taken offline are saved and wait for you in Your shots; tap any of them once you have a connection to identify it.

Subscriptions

Manage or cancel Critterdex+

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are managed in your Apple Account rather than in the app. To cancel:

• Open the Settings app and tap your name at the top.
• Tap Subscriptions.
• Choose Critterdex+, then Cancel Subscription.

Restore a purchase

For a subscription, open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases while using the same Apple Account that bought it. To rebuild your collection on another device, connect the same Apple account in Critterdex Settings. Catalog species and catch dates return; personal pet and discovery cards, photos, and precise locations stay only on the original device.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your photos and data

Delete my collection

Settings › Reset collection removes every local capture and photo. If you connected Apple, it also queues deletion of the synced capture metadata. Deleting the app removes local data but does not by itself delete a connected Critterdex account.

Data requests

A connected Critterdex account holds only the account, consent, and collection metadata described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete the account in Settings. For access, deletion, or any other privacy request, write to us at the address above.
